Cottrell Contracting's Dredge Marion was tasked with the challange of restoring one mile of badly eroded beach at Roosevelt Inlet in Deleware.The Marion was selected because of her shallow draft and her ability to withstand severe weather conditions.

The $2.7mm USD project called for the dredging of ~250,000 cubic yards of sand with placemant along one mile of beach. The Marion was able to restore the beach in record time by pumping and placing over 8,000 cubic yards per day.
